Zanna Freeman is a designer maker working across ceramics, illustration, and within nomadic events. For her final graduate show, she will be presenting a series of thrown ceramic lighting pieces that will come together to form a fantastical installation. Drawing inspiration from her lifelong experiences within the vibrant world of festival culture, this work aims to evoke the sense of freedom, creativity, and community that is so central to these spaces.

"I have grown up within the festival world, working within my family business putting up marquees and attending festivals throughout my life. The freedom and acceptance I’ve encountered through the festival scene are at the heart of my creative practice," Freeman says. "Through my work, I hope to create something that brings people together, even if just for a moment, to appreciate the beauty of shared experiences."

This installation is more than just a collection of lighting pieces; it is a celebration of the connections, joy, and inclusivity that festivals embody. Each ceramic light fixture is carefully crafted to be both functional and artistic, transforming the space into an immersive environment that invites reflection and connection. By merging traditional ceramic techniques with contemporary design, I hope to create a piece that not only illuminates a room but also sparks conversation about the beauty of community and the power of shared experiences.
